Moon Shadows at Fish Creek in Anza Borrego

Fish Creek Canyon in Anza Borrego is magical and often referred to as the Grand Canyon of San Diego County and characterized by incredible rock formations.  If you are lucky enough to be there in a full moon, you will  be transported to a "not of this world" kind of experience and that is what I was hoping to capture in this painting.  The constellation  shown in the upper right is "Scorpius" with the red star Antares and which the Navajo call the "Coyote Star" which makes it's first appearance in late Spring.
